Launched the brand "senselessface" in 1997 while attending Tokyo Mode Gakuen.
Established “Atelier YOSOOU” in Niigata in 2014. She mainly create
works using ramie, which is the raw material for kimonos and was also
excavated from Jomon ruins. She is also collaborating with 「Artist
Hyuga」, who makes use of his talent as a person with a developmental
disability, and with 「Otoha」, who travels around the country conveying
important information.
The theme of the 2025SS collection is "Katakamuna", an ancient
Japanese script that has not yet been elucidated.

2014年に新潟にて「アトリエ装ウ」設立。着物の原料であり縄文遺跡からも発掘された苧麻を使った作品をメインに制作している。発達障害という才能を生かし活動するArtist
Hyugaとのコラボや、大事ごとを伝えて全国を回っている音葉とのコラボ活動もしている。
2025SSコレクションのテーマはまだ解明されていない日本の古代文字である「カタカムナ」

What inspired you to become a fashion designer?
I was inspired to become a fashion designer because I wanted to express my individuality and creativity through clothing. I have always been interested in creating distinctive, feminine designs that allow people to show their personality.
How would you describe your design style?
I would describe my design style as cute, feminine, and unique. I like making clothes with special details so people can show their own personality.
What can people expect from your latest collection?
My 2025 spring/summer collection is built around Katakamuna, an ancient Japanese script that has never been fully deciphered.
What materials define your designs?
I mainly work with ramie, the traditional fiber used for kimono, which has a history tracing back to Japan's Jomon-era textiles.
Do you collaborate with other artists or creators?
I collaborate with Artist Hyuga, who works from his experience as a person with a developmental disability, and with Otoha, who travels the country sharing messages that matter to her.
