From Sapporo, Japan, born in 1983.
Started self-study for making original dresses in 2008 and began to receive commissions for her creations.
Opened dress shop "Valienne" in 2010 which launched her full-scale start as a wedding dress designer.
In addition to weddings, she is active in a wide range of projects in the sphere of costuming such as space coordination and production, project planning, artistry, entertainment as well as outfits for companies and theatrical productions.

What inspired you to become a fashion designer?
Designer vivi began creating original dresses through self study in 2008, which led to commissions for a variety of costumes. She later opened Valienne and began her professional career as a wedding dress designer.
How would you describe your design style?
Valienne creates romantic, imaginative dresses inspired by the fancy foreign dolls vivi admired as a child. The designs aim to give wearers opportunities to express their individuality while embodying joy, happiness, and beauty.
What can people expect from your Vancouver Fashion Week collection?
Valienne made its Vancouver Fashion Week debut with its SS24 collection, bringing vivi’s distinctive dressmaking aesthetic to an international runway. The presentation introduced the Japanese brand’s imaginative and feminine design world to a wider audience.
