LaSalle College Vancouver, a proud member of LCI Education, is a vibrant creative hub for career-focused education in media, arts, and design. Originally founded in Montreal in 1959, LCI Education now spans five continents, with 23 institutions across Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Spain, Turkey, Morocco, Tunisia, Indonesia, and Australia. LaSalle College Vancouver's Fashion Faculty offers internationally acclaimed programs, led by professionals who are recognized as experts in the fashion industry. Students can explore the dynamic world of Fashion through a variety of programs, including a unique Bachelor of Design in Fashion Design, a Fashion Design Diploma, and online diplomas in Fashion Marketing and Styling. With a curriculum rigorously focused on industry needs and state-of-the-art infrastructure, the fashion programs at LaSalle College Vancouver prepare learners for global success.

New Campus Coming 2025
LaSalle College Vancouver is eager to welcome the fashion community and all other creatives to their new creative campus—BC ’s most state-of-the-art campus—opening in 2025. With a focus on active learning and social engagement, the new creative campus merges architecture, technology, and art across 7 floors and 108,000 sq. ft. of future-focused space.

What inspires the designers at LaSalle College Vancouver?
The designers draw inspiration from personal experiences, cultural heritage, social issues, sustainability, and the world around them. Their collections explore individual stories and perspectives through fashion.
How would you describe the design approach at LaSalle College Vancouver?
The approach combines creative concept development with technical skills in pattern drafting, draping, textile science, garment construction, and visual storytelling. Students are encouraged to develop individual creative voices while building strong design foundations.
What can people expect from your collection?
The collections showcase a range of perspectives and techniques, from cultural heritage and personal storytelling to sustainability, social commentary, and experimental design. Each designer brings a distinct concept and visual language to the runway.
How does sustainability influence the students’ design work?
Sustainability is explored through practices such as upcycling, the use of natural fabrics, and responsible material choices. Several student collections use existing or sustainable materials to explore new approaches to fashion design.
How does the program prepare emerging designers for the fashion industry?
Students gain hands on experience in design development, garment construction, textiles, pattern drafting, draping, and portfolio development. Opportunities to present collections at Vancouver Fashion Week also allow emerging designers to gain real world runway experience and industry exposure.
