What inspired you to become a fashion designer?

My interest in fashion began early and remained with me even as I pursued education in psychology and criminology and a long career in federal law enforcement. After retiring from the FBI, I returned to fashion and developed my own bridal labels.

Tess Mann Haute Couture focuses on luxurious bridalwear characterized by sophisticated silhouettes, meticulous craftsmanship, and intricate detailing. Custom lace, embroidery, beadwork, and crystal embellishments contribute to the label’s refined and distinctive aesthetic.

What can people expect from your Vancouver Fashion Week collection?

The SS24 presentation featured 16 bridal designs combining classic elegance with contemporary styling. The collection ranged from timeless A-line silhouettes to sleek sheath gowns, with detailed lacework and beadwork emphasizing the label’s couture craftsmanship.

What handcrafted details distinguish your bridal designs?

Hand-drawn lacework and delicate beadwork are prominent features of the bridal designs. Tess also develops custom embroidery, lace designs, beading patterns, and crystal embellishments to give the gowns distinctive couture detailing.
