We modernizes Korean traditional clothing, 'Hanbok', by reinterpreting it, with five values of meaning, creativity, flexibility, fun, and pride.

What inspired you to become a fashion designer?
Heewon Kim’s interest in fashion is closely connected to Korean culture and traditional aesthetics. She became a designer to reinterpret these cultural influences through clothing and share the beauty of Korean inspired fashion with a wider audience.
How would you describe your design style?
The designs reinterpret traditional Korean clothing, particularly hanbok, through a modern and practical perspective. Traditional elements are combined with contemporary silhouettes and patterns to make Korean inspired fashion easier to enjoy in everyday life.

The SS25 collection presents a contemporary interpretation of hanbok while preserving its traditional structural beauty. Modern silhouettes, comfortable fits, natural colours, and soft materials make the pieces suitable for everyday wear.
How do patterns bring Korean cultural elements into your designs?
Patterns are developed by adding a contemporary perspective to Korean cultural values and imagery. They allow traditional identity to remain visible while giving the garments a more modern and distinctive character.
How do you make traditional hanbok elements suitable for everyday wear?
