What inspired you to become a fashion designer?

Cassandra Bailey’s interest in making clothes began in childhood and later led her to study Fashion Design in Vancouver. Her appreciation for skilled trades and craftsmanship also helped shape her approach to creating long lasting, carefully made clothing.


How would you describe your design style?

The brand combines workwear influences with a focus on fit, function, and fashion. Its designs are gender neutral, handcrafted, and made to be timeless, with texture and the feeling of a material often guiding the creative process.


What can people expect from your SS25 collection?

The SS25 collection presents elevated workwear through colourful patchwork, detailed craftsmanship, and carefully tailored pieces. It also reflects Cassandra’s emphasis on collaboration, with intricate details connecting the collection throughout.


What materials and techniques stand out in the SS25 collection?

The collection features quilt work, selvedge denim, waxed cotton, and upcycled materials. These materials were selected to develop character and patina over time, supporting the brand’s focus on durable and long lasting garments.


How does patchwork contribute to the look and sustainability of the collection?

Patchwork is a distinctive visual element in the SS25 collection and connects with the brand’s approach to reworking materials. Cassandra also saves scraps and offcuts for quilted projects, helping reduce waste while creating new textile compositions.
