Mozhgan Moghanian, known as Seema, founded DresSeema to empower women through bold, radiant fashion that defies societal norms. The brand challenges the idea that vibrant colors and expressive styles are only for celebrities or the fashion elite, encouraging women to embrace confidence in any setting and any style. Rooted in a childhood dream and a passion for design, Seema turned her long-time hobby into a brand that celebrates femininity without requiring revealing styles. As a newly established brand (~2 years old), a major milestone has been showcasing her collection on a world-class stage, Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW). Seema’s vision for DresSeema is to redefine elegance, strength, and self-expression, breaking the unspoken rules that often make women, especially those outside the fashion industry, feel limited in their fashion choices when they step outside the expectation of subtlety.

What inspired you to create Dresseema?
I had a lifelong passion for fashion and enjoyed designing creative styles as a hobby. After seeing a gap in the market for women’s evening wear in Canada, I decided to turn my passion into a fashion business.
How would you describe your design style?
My style combines sophisticated and eye catching designs with comfort and wearability. I enjoy balancing simple lines with decorative details to create elegant and expressive eveningwear.
What can people expect from your collection?
You can expect bold colours, elegant silhouettes, and decorative details using materials such as lace, sequins, and silk organza. The designs aim to combine elegance, strength, and confidence.
How does Dresseema encourage women to express themselves through fashion?
Dresseema encourages women to move beyond the expectation of subtle fashion and embrace bold colours and expressive styles. The brand aims to help women feel confident and define elegance in their own way.
How has your background in technology influenced your approach to fashion design?
My background as a woman in technology taught me to value innovation and creative problem solving. I believe combining technical knowledge with creativity can help develop fresh and functional ideas in fashion.
