Mahmoud Ghorbal, founder and designer of MOE Ghorbal Couture. My journey began in Syria, growing up in a family that cherished sewing and accessories. I often sat beside my mother as she made clothes for my siblings, and that's where my passion for fashion began. Alongside my studies, I trained with highly skilled tailors in Syria, then traveled to Lebanon to continue training with renowned designers. I eventually opened my own fashion house there, designing for distinguished families.I then moved to the United Arab Emirates, where I worked in a fashion house for five years, designing for many prestigious clients.
After returning to Syria, I presented my first fashion show in Damascus. When the war began, I returned to Lebanon, opened my fashion house again, and presented another fashion show, designing for families and several celebrities. In early 2017, I began a new chapter in Canada, establishing MOE Ghorbal Couture in Edmonton, Alberta. In 2018, I presented a fashion show in Edmonton, continuing to develop my work.
Today, I am proud to present my new collection, Dawn, at Vancouver Fashion Week. Dawn is inspired by the transformation of nature at morning light. The collection begins in darkness, then light slowly rises. As the sun appears, the trees awaken, blossoms open, and nature's colors are revealed. This transformation, from darkness into light, is the heart of the collection. Through Dawn, I wanted to express elegance, transformation, and the beauty of a new beginning.
