What inspired you to create Mernini?
I'm a passionate creative with a deep interest in the transformation and evolution of fashion, and that passion is what drives me to keep building in this field.
How would you describe your design style?
I specialize in modular fashion. I'm always looking for new ways to change how people use and consume clothes.
What can people expect from your latest collection?
My latest collection, shown at Vancouver Fashion Week FW25, reinterprets the art of dressing through personal nostalgia, with silhouettes that look back to the past and textures that look forward to the future.
How do you approach modular fashion in your work?
I work with modular fashion because I want to find new ways and alternatives to change how fashion is consumed.
Why is sustainability such an important part of that modular approach?
I focus on making my pieces sustainable and versatile because that benefits the environment and also gives the person wearing them a richer experience.
