Brand Concept

The theme of the brand is "Today is Happy," which is to enjoy a quirk, and to create dresses that make you happy just by wearing them.

Theme of this collection

"nature pop"

I live in an area rich in nature, surrounded by the largest lake in Japan, Lake Biwa. The creatures and flowers that decorate the powerful greenery of nature are very creative and inspiring, and sometimes give us tremendous inspiration, vitality, and healing. I would like to express such natural flows and patterns by smocking fabrics and creating pop dresses like colorful creatures and flowers to give the same impression, vitality, and healing.

What inspired you to become a fashion designer?

Growing up watching my mother sew had a strong influence on my interest in fashion. I began teaching myself to sew at a young age and later studied fashion design in high school and vocational school before gaining experience in accessory design and apparel.

How would you describe your design style?

The designs are colourful, playful, and created around the concept of “Today is Happy.” The focus is on clothing and dresses with distinctive details that bring a sense of happiness and individuality to the wearer.

What can people expect from your collection?

The Nature Pop collection celebrates the beauty and energy of nature through vibrant colours, detailed dresses, and playful accessories. Smocking techniques are used to express natural flows and patterns, with green, pink, yellow, and blue bringing a lively feel to the collection.

What inspired the Nature Pop collection?

The collection was inspired by the natural environment surrounding the designer’s home near Lake Biwa in Japan. The landscape, plants, flowers, and living creatures became inspiration for expressing the flows and patterns found in nature.

What does “Today is Happy” mean to your approach to fashion?

“Today is Happy” represents the idea of creating clothing that can make everyday life feel happier. The designs encourage people to enjoy distinctive fashion and prioritize their own happiness rather than worrying about how others see them.
