What inspired you to become a fashion designer?

Fashion was part of my life from an early age. Growing up in New York City, my grandmother owned a tailoring factory and introduced me to making clothing. I later studied fashion design at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I developed my skills in pattern making, draping, and other traditional techniques.

How would you describe your design style?

The designs are genderless, handmade, and sustainability focused. Second hand clothing, fabric scraps, and donated materials are transformed into new textiles and garments using weaving, sewing, knitting, crochet, and other techniques.

What can people expect from your collection?

The collection combines handwoven and reconstructed garments made from second hand clothing, fabric scraps, and donated materials. The designs explore unconventional silhouettes while reflecting themes of dreams, personal experiences, and overcoming adversity.

How did the idea of “Dream Weaving” develop?

Dream Weaving developed from the idea of taking old clothing apart and piecing it back together. The technique transforms discarded materials into new fabrics and garments while connecting the designs to dreams, personal experiences, and the unconscious mind.

How does sustainability shape your approach to fashion?

Sustainability is a core principle. Second hand clothing, fabric scraps, and donated textiles are transformed into new garments through a “Negative Waste” approach, with the goal of reducing waste and challenging the overconsumption associated with fast fashion.
