What inspired you to become a fashion designer?
A love of drawing, fashion, and creating clothes from an early age became the foundation of the creative journey. After working as a designer for an apparel company and later stepping away from clothing, the designer began sharing original creations on social media and eventually developed KUBO SAN MADE.
How would you describe your design style?
The style combines everyday wearability with a refined French casual aesthetic. Attention is given to silhouette, materials, and details, while the clothes are designed to be comfortable and easy to enjoy in everyday life.

The latest 26AW collection continues the focus on French casual style, adding a touch of playful charm to everyday clothing. The collection includes the KUBO line, which places greater emphasis on silhouettes, materials, and details, alongside the more accessible KUBO SAN MADE and BASIC lines.
What inspired the retro French elements in your designs?
Retro French elements have been combined with Japanese influences through materials, patterns, and silhouettes. In the collection presented at Vancouver Fashion Week, paper and ink dyeing were also used to bring together different cultural influences.
How do you balance comfort with style in your designs?
Comfort is considered an important part of everyday clothing. The designs focus on relaxed silhouettes, practical details, and comfortable materials while maintaining a polished French casual aesthetic.
