Concept: 'The Dress Code of the Minority'

The value that makes up the majority of SIRUSI's price is the message and connection.

We are developing items for people who are dissatisfied with our society, who feel out of step with their surroundings, and who are challenging themselves to change the current status quo.

SIRUSI focuses on people in the minority who have different sensibilities from the majority, and develops items for them.

Society and the people around you will kill your individuality and control you with stereotypes and peer pressure.

There is not just one path, but there is a path that each person can take with their own mark, and even if you are on a different path, there are always like-minded people under the sky who wear this brand.

In this way, I hope to create SIRUSI LOCUS with you all and make it a place where outcasts can gather.

PREVIOUS  COLLECTIONS

What inspired the creation of SIRUSI LOCUS?

SIRUSI LOCUS was created around the idea of questioning conventional ideas of what is considered normal. The brand aims to give people outside those norms a way to express themselves and connect with others through clothing.

How would you describe your design style?

The designs combine Japanese and Western influences through a concept the brand calls the reconstruction of harmony. Illustrations, lettering, and Japanese cultural ideas are brought together with contemporary streetwear to create its distinctive visual language.

What can people expect from your Vancouver Fashion Week collection?

The SS24 collection was created for people who feel outside conventional social standards. Through fashion, it aims to connect these individuals as a community while expressing a more inclusive and accepting view of society.

How do Japanese and Western influences come together in your designs?

Japanese and Western elements are combined from the brand’s own perspective, with particular attention to balancing their different characteristics. Traditional Japanese concepts are then incorporated through graphics, lettering, and other contemporary design elements.

Why is the idea of a “dress code for minorities” important to SIRUSI LOCUS?

The concept represents clothing as a way for people who question conventional norms to recognize and connect with one another. The brand hopes its pieces can create a sense of community beyond the clothing itself.
