Carol Botelho, founder of Dress Cozy, weaves more than clothes — she weaves stories. Her brand is a quiet rebellion against fleeting trends, offering women garments that are both a refuge and a revelation. Carol’s work is rooted in the belief that fashion is not merely adornment, but a companion in the delicate act of reinventing oneself. Shaped by her own journey of transformation, she invites women to find comfort, purpose, and authenticity in every stitch. With Dress Cozy, Carol Botelho redefines the relationship between style and self, reminding us that fashion can be both a second skin and a second chance.

What inspired you to create Dress Cozy?

I created Dress Cozy after experiencing motherhood and realizing there was a need for clothing that could reflect the dynamic lives of women while still offering comfort and style. I wanted to create clothing that helps women feel beautiful, comfortable, and confident in their everyday lives.

How would you describe your design style?

My aesthetic is cozy yet intentional, with soft, layered, sometimes minimal and sometimes playful designs. I focus on timeless pieces that are comfortable, versatile, and meaningful rather than following short lived trends.

What can people expect from your collection?

You can expect comfortable and versatile designs that combine elegance with everyday wearability. Dress Cozy focuses on thoughtfully designed pieces made with quality fabrics, practical silhouettes, and a strong emphasis on comfort and sustainability.

How did motherhood influence the creation of Dress Cozy?

My experience as a mother made me realize how difficult it could be to find clothing that reflected my identity while fitting into the realities of everyday life. This experience inspired me to create Dress Cozy for women who want to feel comfortable, beautiful, and confident while navigating their busy lives.

What inspired the Metamorphosis collection?

Metamorphosis: The Becoming of Her was inspired by the transformations women experience throughout their lives. The collection explores these changes through three acts, moving from grounded and structured silhouettes toward softer and more powerful shapes, while using deadstock fabrics to create contrasts and unexpected textures.
