More Madoka established Colorful Boutique More, a vintage shop from the 1960s and 1970s, in Fukuoka in 2009. Her shop was filled with her favorite clothes, decorations, and music, and she wanted more people to know about their greatness. At the same time, she began learning how to wear a kimono and eventually obtained her instructor's license. Started kimono dressing classes in 2011. I love colorful, retro, and pop things, and I want to spread the idea that '`Kimono is also fashion'' and ``Fashion is a way to express yourself. Enjoy your own style.''
In 2018, she hosted numerous kimono events and began producing original kimonos through collaboration with kimono brands. I make kimono that I want to wear. Her original kimono designs are inspired by vintage clothing she has collected over 30 years, primarily from the 1960s and 1970s.
Now, as a longtime antique kimono collector and kimono dressing instructor, she is passionate about making antique kimonos more accessible around the world. There, she finally realized her long-held dream of incorporating authentic antique kimono fabrics into her clothing designs and creating a bridal lace kimono collection that combines the essence of kimonos and bridal dresses.
The theme of this collection is "From clothes to kimono" and "From kimono to clothes." I hope that people all over the world can enjoy ethnic costumes as fashion, and that the world will be filled with smiles.

What inspired you to become a fashion designer?
My passion for vintage fashion and kimono led me to explore ways of bringing traditional Japanese textiles into contemporary fashion. Through COLORFUL BOUTIQUE MORE, I wanted to share the joy of wearing unique pieces and enjoying fashion freely.
How would you describe your design style?
My style combines colorful, retro, and pop aesthetics with traditional kimono textiles. I enjoy creating unique looks that blend vintage European fashion, antique kimono, and contemporary styling.

You can expect vibrant, colorful designs that combine retro-pop aesthetics with traditional kimono textiles. The collection celebrates unique patterns, expressive colors, and the idea of enjoying fashion through personal style.
How did your experience with vintage fashion influence COLORFUL BOUTIQUE MORE?
My journey began with vintage and select shops, including working with vintage clothing in Tokyo. These experiences shaped COLORFUL BOUTIQUE MORE into a space where European vintage fashion, antique kimono, and original styling come together.
Why is making kimono more accessible as fashion important to you?
I believe kimono can be enjoyed as fashion rather than being limited to formal occasions. Through styling and original pieces, COLORFUL BOUTIQUE MORE aims to make antique kimono more approachable and encourage people to enjoy it in their own way.
