Christiann Moore is an American fashion designer with a focus on comfort and sophistication for women. She is an intuitive artist with skills in draping and playing with textures. In her recent work she has included fabrics made from sustainable fibers. Exploring femininity, she challenges the idea of simplicity and avant garde in this collection.
Moore’s designs have been featured at “Salk Women in Science Inaugural Gala” at Salk Institute in La Jolla and “Kimono Reimagined Exhibition” at the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park.
After a lifetime of corporate life and owning a software business, Moore followed her lifelong dream of being a fashion designer. In 2012, she enrolled in the fashion program at San Diego Mesa College to earn accreditation.
In 2016, Moore started a fashion design and manufacturing research company in La Jolla, California sewing with textiles and experimenting with her own pattern designs.

What inspired you to become a fashion designer?
My mother and paternal grandmother introduced me to fashion and sewing at an early age. I spent hours watching my grandmother work with fabrics and patterns, and I began designing and sewing clothes myself as a child.
How would you describe your design style?
My designs focus on chic, sophisticated, and comfortable clothing. I combine simple elegance with practical everyday wear, with comfort as a central part of my design approach.
What can people expect from your collection?
My Vancouver collection explores a range of styles, with garments that are sporty, casual, formal, and sophisticated. The collection reflects my broader focus on creating women’s clothing that balances sophistication, simplicity, and comfort.
How did your grandmother influence your approach to fashion and sewing?
My grandmother taught me about fabrics, patterns, cutting, and sewing from a young age. Watching her create clothes and working with her fabric scraps gave me an early foundation in garment making and a lasting love of hand sewing.
Why is comfort an important part of your clothing designs?
I believe clothing should be both stylish and comfortable. My designs are intended to combine chic and sophisticated styling with everyday wearability, making comfort a common thread throughout the collection.
