Alexander King Chen is a multidisciplinary artist— whose work fuses storytelling with striking visual drama. His creations move beyond fashion into the realms of film, performance, and visual art.
While simultaneously building his brand, he’s collaborated on a multitude of projects with ASUS, Estée Lauder, Mercedes Benz…, been featured in countless celebrated publications, have dressed a vast number of A-list Asian celebrities, starred in 2 seasons of their own reality show “Rich and Famous" with sister Shing-I Chen. Voted as “Best Dressed” by Tatler and WE People, voted #1 as “Most Eligible Bachelor”, and “Top 10 Most Influential in Taiwan.”
However, his world collapsed when he lost someone dear to him. “I realized these accreditations were absolutely meaningless in a time of desperation.” Then, started his journey to give back, starting with his 3 humanitarian/art/music/fashion films.
Known for his strikingly theatrical shows, his work explore themes of compassion, loss, culture, and environmental urgency, while his runway shows are celebrated for their theatricality and emotional depth. He’s earned recognition as an artist who transforms garments into narrative experiences. With every project, he blurs the line between couture and cinema, beauty and truth, dissolves boundaries between East and West, fashion and art, spectacle and soul, leaving audiences not just watching but feeling- establishing him as one of the most electrifying voices in the Mandarin speaking world today.

What inspired you to become a fashion designer?
I grew up surrounded by different cultures and creative influences. My experiences in London, New York, Paris, and Taipei shaped the way I approach fashion and helped me develop a style that blends different perspectives.
How would you describe your design style?
My style is modern yet cultural, simple yet theatrical. I combine dramatic flair with functionality while drawing inspiration from both the past and the future.
What can people expect from your collection?
You can expect designs that combine fashion, storytelling, and visual drama, reflecting a blend of cultural influences, theatrical elements, and contemporary design.
What inspired you to expand your work from fashion into film?
I began incorporating music, stories, ballet, and visuals into my runway shows before turning to film. I felt fashion alone was limiting the ways I could express my ideas, so film gave me a broader creative medium.
How do humanitarian themes influence your creative work?
After experiencing personal loss, I wanted to use my skills as a designer to give back to society. This led me to create three humanitarian fashion, art, and music films exploring themes including environmental urgency, social media, and the loss of animals.
