VFW is delighted to announce the upcoming runway show of Jordan Ewing, a contemporary bridalwear designer from Atlanta, U.S.A.

From fine fabrics to dream clients, we delve into the details of Zuri Bridal and get an exciting insight into the bridal industry along the way.

VFW: How did you come to be a bridal designer?

Jordan: Creating and drawing came naturally to me from a young age. I quickly discovered my passion for elegance and the refined gowns that I saw on the Hollywood red carpet. I started recreating the glamour and grace of bridal designs, marrying old Hollywood styles with modern flair.

VFW: What part of the design process do you enjoy most?

Jordan: Consistently, the most gratifying aspects of the design process for me are sketching and fabric sourcing. These two steps work hand-in-hand, one inspiring the other. Sketching allows my mind endless style possibilities, while fabric sourcing offers unlimited inspiration for design.

VFW: What are your favourite materials/embellishments to work with?

Jordan: When it comes to my gowns, lace and beading are among my favorite materials and embellishments to manipulate. Lace creates a story, speaking to a certain mood that brides desire. Intricate beading offers an added dimension, evoking elegance and glamour instantly.

VFW: What are the most important considerations when designing bridal wear?

Jordan: When designing bridal wear, it is important to consider the bride’s vision for her magical day. Matching the perfect silhouette and fabric construction for each bride is essential. Unlike other fashion, the bridal gown has to be emotionally and tangibly tailored to the bride, casting a flawless backdrop and conjuring the perfect sentiments.

VFW: Can you describe a Zuri Bridal bride?

Jordan: Brides at Zuri Bridal represent a spectrum, from the high-end woman to the everyday woman. I work to make sure every bride feels beautiful and confident on one of the biggest days of their lives. My brides have a dress they can wear that embodies a timeless, romantic quality.

VFW: Can you describe your boutique?

Jordan: Filled with modern elegance, my boutique offers every bride a unique bridal experience. Brides deserve a centered, hands-on approach that I offer through booked appointments. This allows for adequate time to fully understand and interpret my brides’ preferences and vision.

VFW: How does being based in Atlanta affect your design work?

Jordan: My designs have not been constricted by Atlanta alone, but influenced by my avid traveling. Inspiration comes from each city’s distinct flavour and history.

VFW: What are you feeling inspired by at the moment?

Jordan: At the moment, the fall and winter seasons have been my biggest inspiration. I feel more creative during these seasons, with the opulence of the holidays sparking my imagination.

VFW: Who would be your dream client?

Jordan: My dream client would be an everyday woman, who is open-minded about the bridal dress shopping experience. Often times, a style you never envisioned yourself in, could be your dream dress. I cater to every client, no matter their budget or style.

VFW: What can you tell us about the collection you will be showcasing with us in March?

Jordan: In March, I am proud to showcase my bridal collection that embodies a timeless romanticized aesthetic with an emphasis on classical silhouettes, fine laces, and intricate beading. These components work harmoniously together to create a timeless look for every bride that will be remembered forever.

Thank you Jordan for taking time to talk to us about your vision. We are looking forward to seeing these exquisite and beautiful bridal designs at Vancouver Fashion Week in March.
