Originally from Überlingen, Germany Charlotte Weber studied fashion design in Hanover, Germany at FAHMODA Academy for Fashion and Design before she graduated from University of Hull, United Kingdom in June 2018. During her studies, Charlotte worked for brands like Goya Goya and Danny Reinke.
In 2017 she won Outstanding Talent at the international designer contest Frankfurt Style Award.
Her pret-a-couture line “ORCHIDELIRIUM” is named after the flower madness gave to the Victorian era when collecting rare orchids became a bizarre obsession to wealthy people.
Professionally trained as a tailor and with an extraordinary passion for hand-crafted couture embroideries, Charlotte is transforming conceptual criticism of society into wearable, high-quality designs. The upcoming, seasonless collection “The Perfect Illusion” is inspired by the aesthetic of dystopian societies and films like “The Lobster” and “Blade Runner 2049” but at the same time a critique to the social shifts of the past decades. As Iain Banks puts it: “We have chosen to put profits before people, money, before morality, dividends before decency, fanatism before fairness, and our own trivial comforts before the unspeakable agonies of others.”
